Midstack February Meetup and a Share Thread
Join us for our February meetup and share a recent Post or Note
Our free monthly meetup of midlife women writing on Substack will be a little different this month.
We’d like to invite you to our first Show and Tell.
Normally during our meetups each writer has just a few moments to introduce herself and her publication, and that’s been amazing. I love seeing all of your faces and hearing snippets about all the incredible things you’re doing on Substack.
This month I want to go deeper with several writers by taking a closer look at their publications (sharing our screens) and learning more about their journeys.
After you register for the meetup, you’ll be taken to a form for you to volunteer to be one of the writers “showing and telling” about their Substacks. (Filling out the form is entirely optional, of course! You don’t need to volunteer to “show and tell.”)
This might include:
showing how you’ve chosen to design and layout your publication
telling us the origin story of your Substack
showing us a post or series of posts that you’re proud of
describing challenges you’ve had during your time on Substack
telling us about what’s going well
sharing the “back end” of your publication and telling us about your Substack’s growth
anything else that might be inspiring or useful to other midlife writers!
If you register, you’ll also be sent a recording, if you can’t make the meeting time and would like to watch afterwards.
I’ll contact you by email by Wednesday, February 19th if you are chosen to be one of the writers who will “show and tell.”
I’m looking forward to hearing your stories and learning from you!
If you haven’t yet submitted your Substack to be included in the Midstack Directory of midlife women writing on Substack, please submit it HERE.

I am a sober woman in midlife, writing about my midlife transitions and transformations: today's post is for All the Single (and Separated and Divorced) Ladies. I wrote about how I don't think we should call a long term relationship, especially a marriage, a Failure just because it did not last Forever. In this post, I also share about falling in love after my 30 year marriage ended-my first romantic relationship in sobriety-at age 56-and the heartache of the breakup.
Looking forward to this Show and Tell meet up next week and connecting with more midlife women bravely living their lives and writing about them.
Here's one you can probably all relate to. I recently wrote about boobs and the stories they could tell. https://open.substack.com/pub/distractedbyprettythings/p/lets-talk-about-boobs?r=43tgx8&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false
