Our Midstack Friday share thread
Happy Friday once again, Midstackers!
This week has been a busy one for Midstack. We finished our first two-week Substack Foundations cohort, and yesterday began our 5-Day Notes Experiment.
We’ve already got a lively, generous, and creative group of women inside our Notes Experiment Forum who are posting drafts of their Notes, getting feedback from other Midstackers, and sharing their published Notes for us to comment on, like, and restack.
I’m loving reading each writer’s introduction to our group and learning about her unique style and goals.
Here’s a peek inside:
Paid subscribers to Midstack can join the Notes Experiment HERE. You’ll be prompted to create a profile and account for our forum platform. (Please use the same email address associated with your Substack account.)
Now, on to the Midstack Friday share thread….
💬 Drop your latest essay, article, or Note below in the comments and meet other midlife writers.
How it works:
Introduce yourself and your Substack in a sentence or two.
Tell us what you’re sharing this week and why.
Share the link.
Then engage with at least a few other people’s work — comment, restack, like, or share. Subscribe to writers whose work resonates with you.
And, most of all, come back throughout the week to keep the conversation going.
New here? This is our weekly Friday tradition where midlife Substackers connect, share their work, and support each other. Jump in.
A couple tips: If an essay or article touches you, think about commenting directly in the comments of the article itself, not just here in the thread.
If you have interacted with an article or note outside of this post, please show that by liking it in the share thread.

Hi! 👋 I’m Jen - midlife author, publisher, and above all, mom - and I write researched information that helps indie authors publish and market their books, without all the hype and guru nonsense.
My newest post is about motivation… inspired by my own recent writing slump and what I learned about working through it. Hope you all enjoy!

Happy Friday everyone! This week I wrote A summer of small things. A short reflection on a slower summer.
Can't wait to read all of your work too!
