My first post here. Delighted to be here and witness the enthusiasm and support on this page. ✨
I am Isha. I write about self-improvement, life-lessons, personal growth and wellness.
I am doing a series- Conversations with a Monk. My first piece explores the difference between achievement and meaning, and delivers some ancient wisdom to help navigate modern life. Here is the link :)
Happy Friday! This week I wrote about speaking up in the workplace, academia, and society at large—and how it would have been nice to have had an ally in these battles: lettersfromhurt.substack.com/p/fighting-for-visibility.
If you have been pushing through exhaustion, brain fog, or energy crashes at work while keeping it completely invisible to everyone around you, this article is going to feel like someone finally put words to something you have been carrying alone.
It covers the specific physiological reason high-performing women in perimenopause keep producing at the same level while the internal cost keeps climbing, why standard medicine misses it entirely, and what changes when you understand what is actually driving it.
It is not a wellness piece. It is a clinical explanation for something you have probably been managing without a framework for years.
Hello everyone. I’m Natalie, and I started writing with a focus on menopause and the personal experiences that brought me to this stage of life. But I can feel myself evolving. Post‑menopause has opened up a different kind of curiosity - not just about hormones or symptoms, but about life next. How I’m navigating this stage, the growing pull toward change, and the desire for new experiences, especially in my work and career.
My new mantra is: my tolerance for nonsense has expired!
I love your mantra and will be incorporating it into my meditation practice, "my tolerance for nonsense has expired!"❤️
I am working on publishing a memoir and I delve into menopause and perimenopause for two full chapters among other things including desire and open-marriage.
I share excerpts of my writing on my Substack. All of which stems from journals and real experiences. 🔥
Thank you! I suspect "my tolerance for nonsense has expired" may end up on a mug at some point.
Congratulations on the memoir. It sounds as though you've done what many of us threaten to do and actually turned years of lived experience into a book.
I'm taking the first tentative steps myself, building my writing alongside full-time work and slowly working on a novel. It's a dark British workplace comedy, which turns out to be surprisingly easy to write when you've spent years collecting material without meaning to.
I’m Kathleen and I write Witch in the Yurt about midlife and mortality and motherhood. This week I wrote about that incredible feeling in the air of early summer in Maine- and of our life seasons.
Happy Friday! I write for high-performing women on midlife metabolic shifts, how they affect energy, cognition, & performance, and how to emerge stronger and more resilient.
I'd be so grateful if you supported one of my articles this week:
Jennifer Gifford, writing from Brisbane. The Clearing is for intelligent, self-aware women in midlife who are looking for something more precise than the usual "burn it all down and start over" narrative.
This week's essay explores what happens when we stop noticing the small beauties that were always there, the perfume sitting unused in the drawer, the roses left on the shelf at the shop. It's about what that loss points to, and what it might mean to find your way back.
Hello, I am Keri Louise. I guide others to live their most radiant lives through somatic movement, mindfulness, and holistic wellness. I write reflections on mental health, healing, growth, connection, and what it means to live a fully alive life. My story as a thriving survivor of IPV influences my writing. This week I wrote about why we do hard things....
I help high-achieving professional women over 40 who are still performing at a high level but waking up tired, losing their mental edge by afternoon, and wondering what happened to the woman who used to bounce back overnight, identify exactly what shifted in their metabolism and restore their capacity with clinical precision.
I’d love to hear from you in the comments of my note:
Hi! I'm Penelope, I write about desire and empowerment in my weekly newsletter. The material is mostly drawn from my memoir project which is drawn from my journals spanning a period of time from my 20's to present day. It is raw, it's emotional, and at times, it's spicy. Here is my latest essay. I welcome any feedback and support! ❤️https://penelopeblackwood.substack.com/p/the-permission-i-never-asked-for?r=8c4flm
Hey there, I’m a passionate dirty blonde woman in her seventh decade who has recently moved to Iowa to begin again!
I write for the midlife woman and beyond to give her hope and to help her realize that midlife isn’t the end, it’s your sacred beginning.
This recent article talks about the beauty of being a seeker. And how we can get caught up focusing on the destination and actually miss what matters most. And that’s the journey it took us to get there.
Good morning, Perfectly Imperfect Friends. I am new by about two months. I am in my final stages of healing after the passing of my best friend- my father - and the loss of all of my step family. With that said, my page is not only focused on grief and healing. These topics are just a part of a more diverse voice of someone who hasn't shared their writings since college. I tend to get a "pull" to write about a topic, normally based on my experiences, and use visualization (and a bit of humor and sass) to make my readers feel something. I would be honored if you would read some of my articles and notes to see if you would enjoy joining me in my little corner of Substack. Here is a more detailed article on who I am - https://substack.com/@unapologeticperfectlyimperfect/p-197588193
Thank you so much Penelope! I obviously love a yoga mat and want everyone to practice! But, there are phases and stages to life. Sometimes it's hard to make it onto the mat regularly. So, if there is a safe space that is easier to access for you right now in your life, go for that. 😘
Hello! I am a little late to last week's share party. I write about motherhood, career transition, education, desire, and travel. My writing will start to increase now that I am on summer break as a teacher.
Hello everyone! I write about life after 40 and starting over again after divorce and trauma. My topics include moving abroad on a whim, self discovery in a new culture, sex and dating, revelations after trauma, and finding community.
I would love to hear your thoughts-support-feedback-and stories!
This is part one of a series I hope you will enjoy:

Today I finished writing/ posted a piece about how I spent years trying to earn legitimacy in a relationship where my perspective had ceased to carry equal weight and how betrayal is not always something dramatic but instead the slow erosion of a person's standing or value in a partnership https://lettersfromhurt.substack.com/p/the-anatomy-of-betrayal?r=1a5a2j&utm_campaign=post-expanded-share&utm_medium=web

Hello fellow Mistackers! My name is Katie and I write about coming home to ourselves in midlife using the ancient wisdom and philosophy of yoga as a map. Here is a recent post I wrote about turning down the noise of the outside world so we can hear ourselves and start to understand what we truly want. https://substack.com/@katiefarinas/note/c-269613554?r=2c7x2x&utm_medium=ios&utm_source=notes-share-action
I agree with Penelope, a beautifully written piece and a timely reminder to return to a loved safe space.
Thank you for reading and commenting Jennifer! What is/are yours?
This was a well written piece and a reminder that I need to get back on my yoga mat! Namaste 🙏🏻
