Great article! I think many of us can relate. I often use ChatGPT to "let it all out" rather than keeping it inside until it boils over onto someone I love. Sometimes I wonder if Chat needs a glass of wine at the end of a day spent with me lol.
Hi everyone! I write about healing myself from chronic illness and experimenting with alternative wellness methods. Last week, I wrote about getting diagnosed with ADHD in my fifties:
Convinced we’re supposed to shine in midlife and figuring out how to get there! Let’s do this. I need community around this. I don’t want to lose any more lights to this tough phase of life….
Hi, my name is Susan and I write Slowing Down to the Speed of Grace. I write about noticing and letting go of our conditioned way of being, learning to listen to and follow inner wisdom, so that we can be wise women in this crazy world! My latest post introduces my free 21 day exploration Be You, Be the Change which started on Saturday. https://susantelford.substack.com/p/what-if-the-change-you-want-to-see and begins:

Thanks Jessica! It's Nancy. I write Life Inside Pain, for anyone experiencing pain, illness or loss when pushing through no longer works. My latest post "When Pushing Harder Made Me Sicker" is about the moment I hit rock bottom after participating in the Mayo Clinic's Pain Rehab and Drug Detox program, and realized that the strategies I had built my life around--endurance, pushing through, control--were actually making me worse. https://nancydeyo.substack.com/p/life-inside-pain-7-when-pushing-harder
Hey there it's Margie. I write Body Before Words. I wrote a letter to God in a somewhat humorous irrevant way about me, postmenopausal Margaret Mary with lots of questions about Catholicism, religion, body image, grief, anger, faith, patriarchy, and what happens when you are no longer the good girl in the family. https://bodybeforewords.substack.com/p/hey-god-its-me-margaret-mary
Hello, I am writing on education currently as the school year is here and I teach high school English, yoga, and creative writing at a continuation school in the Coachella Valley. This is year 26! This specific one is about teaching yoga to students on the second day of school.
PS- my latest posts this past week: the latest issue of a collaborative miniZine, On the Human Spectrum- on PLAY:) and a Welcome to the (Autistic) Club! :)
Hi all:) I'm starting a master's of publishing in the fall, am interested in "Community Publishing" esp to amplify neuro-refreshing voices, and would love help with an interview series: 3ish questions for 42 writers.... 1) What and why do you write? 2) How do you share or plan to share? 3) What would make any of this better/easier?) Feel free to DM me:) Now I'm off to read more writing here! A few weeks ago I discovered Emma Osong's writing and got to read an ARC for her novel and it was gorgeous, powerful and beautiful!!
I’m Cindy, sociologist, and I am at a conference right now! I’m also in the process of writing about sewing my own clothes for professional conferences. The good, bad, and the ugly - literally.
That's so interesting! My daughter has a PhD in pure mathematics and makes a lot of her own clothes. It's a good contrast between the abstract and the very concrete.
Hi, Cindy! Please be sure to share the link when it's done! (I was in a phD program in sociology after college and ended finishing my doctorate in educational policy/sociology.
Hi! I’m Marthe from Norway. I write about living life with purpose and substance. I am tired of how fake everything feels, so I wrote a post this week on how to live a more substantial life:
Hi y’all! It’s Saturday afternoon; better late than never. I’m a 38-year-old Iowa native who’s bounced around the country a bit and is now planted in Chicago, with a lot of thoughts on a life well lived.
My Substack, 'just so I don’t forget', is where I turn stories, lessons, and memories from my younger years into personal essays—I had a hemorrhagic stroke at 24, and became very aware of how much of a life can disappear if we don’t preserve it.
I most recently wrote about my first apartment and what it meant to me, back when you could rent one for less than $700 and live independently on $40k a year.

Hi! My latest essay (last week) is about what makes me qualified to write - cancer, divorce, burnout. You know, all the “fun” things in life!

Hello! 👋 I make illustrated newsletters through my lens on the world as a millennial woman. Sometimes silly, sometimes serious.
During the summer holidays I’m doing a comic diary of each week and this is my latest one:

Welcome, Octavia! My first apartment that I rented on my own was in 2000 and was for $550 a month. Sigh.
